WINE, WILDLIFE & MORE – www.DownUnderTrueBlueTours.com.au

Taking a short journey from the centre of the city of Melbourne Australia, you dont need to venture far to discover the wild kangaroos and koalas and abundant bird life which provides the perfect introduction to Australia’s unique wildlife and culture.

Your own professional accredited Tour Guide will make your tour more enjoyable and informative.

Tour with 10 people or more by air-conditioned luxury coach while you learn much more about Victoria’s golden history whilst travelling from Melbourne to Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.
Visit a boutique winery restaurant for a sumptuous lunch with one of the worlds most magnificent breathtaking panoramic views over the bay to the You Yangs Ranges.

To ensure you have a good appetite for our 2 course Winery Lunch we will stop-over to see many of our wonderful and unique animals in their natural habitat where you can joyfully interact with many of them up close.

There are many delightful native birds and animals situated in the in the bushlands at the foothills of the You Yangs in the region known as the Western Plains of Victoria.

The wildlife sanctuary has a large number of kangaroos and emus which wander freely about, and over 150 species of birdlife as well as wild koalas and if you look carefully you might even see these delightful creatures sleeping in the trees.

The sanctuary also provides a safe habitat for migratory birds which travel thousands of kilometres each year. Many birds can be viewed from bird hides and open viewing areas.

There are several walking trails around the wetlands which allow visitors access to walk amongst many native animals including kangaroos and pademelons in large free ranging groups.
View some of our more special native animals and threatened species such as brolgas, Australian bustards and magpie geese.

After enjoying the close contact with the wildlife we visit the Historic Geelong Wool Museum on the way to the Winery lunch.

You will be amazed at the intricate and complex machines that were used to transform the sheep’s natural wool to an Axminster Carpet.
Wonder at the elegant simplicity of the carpet weaving machine in operation by a skilled and experienced operator.

Having by now worked up an appetite we make our way to our luncheon venue, a major winery and restaurant with views over the Corio Bay to the You Yangs Ranges close to where we visited the wildlife Sanctuary.

These views are spectacular from your table as you dine in comfort .
